Masts & Booms

We like to call our mast a “One Piece Mast” as we are able to build 80% of the mast in one piece with no joins - this optimises strength, stiffness and weight distribution giving an even bend to the rig with no hard spots. 

By building a virtually single section mast we gain optimised and even distribution of weight, a lower centre of gravity, strength and stiffness.

20 years ago, the Rondal engineering team set out to develop an entirely new concept for our booms, integrating a hydraulic outhaul cylinder within the mandrel. This enabled higher loads and better control on the foot tension of sail. This innovation continues to set Rondal booms apart.
