As Special One, the world’s largest true sportfish yacht has been delivered, we at Rondal are proud to have contributed to this extraordinary vessel. Our expertise in composite manufacturing and our state-of-the-art facilities enabled us to deliver several challenging carbon and fiberglass products, including grills, fish bait aquarium , hatches, and waterproof carbon covers for electronic devices. We’ve highlighted a few of these complex composite specials.
Grills: Precision and strength
The grills on Special One are not just ordinary components; they are a the result of meticulous thinking. These long and thin structures have a unique free-form shape, necessitating specific stiffness requirements that only carbon and fiberglass could meet. In total, the length of the grills incorporate 130 meters of carbon fiber and 460 meters of fiberglass, housed in a tubular profile with wall thicknesses varying from 2.5 to 5 millimeters.
Fish Tanks: Durability and design
Rondal also supplied two fish aquariums for RH406. These tanks, made from fiberglass, boast complex shapes designed to withstand prolonged exposure to saltwater. Their robust construction ensures durability while maintaining the aesthetic and functional integrity of the vessel.
A unique yacht with unique challenges
Special One is a remarkable yacht that posed remarkable challenges. We at Rondal are immensely proud of the complex contributions we made to this project. We extend our best wishes to the owner for fair winds and following seas.
Our journey with Special One underscores our commitment to innovation, quality, and excellence in the field of marine engineering. We are looking forward to many more groundbreaking projects in the future.
